Winter Wonderland Senior Pictures

Even though the weather has been mild and – dare I say? – Spring feels like it’s right around the corner, I just have to share this snowy High School Senior Session.

Rachel’s mother and I have known each other for a few years.  I was told that Rachel absolutely had to have me as her daughter’s photographer for senior pictures.  She loved the work I had done for her friends’ pictures in the past and I was beyond flattered to be on the ‘must-have-photography’ list for so long!

Rachel is an avid ice skater, as well as skating instructor, so it was imperative that she do her senior pictures in the snow.  After an unexcpected snowfall, Rachel’s mom called me that day and we had her session scheduled for immediately after school the same day.  We wanted to make sure we got the pictures before the weather changed its mind and decided to get warm again.

I absolutely love doing pictures in the snow, whether it be Senior Pictures, Weddings, Engagement Pictures or Family Photography.  Check out this awesome shoot so you can be convinced that snowy pictures are the best!

Patterson Fruit Farm Wedding

If there’s one place that I LOVE to get amazing bakery from, it’s Patterson Fruit Farm.  Mix that with my other favorite love – photographing weddings – and I am one happy girl!

Jillian and Chad wanted a wedding that was rustic, whimsical and as DIY as possible to make their wedding one -of-a-kind.  Not only are they close with their families, they wanted everyone to feel like a VIP with their handmade touches throughout the venue.  Even though Patterson Farm was hopping with activity from their annual Fun Fest, it only added to the welcoming atmosphere of their wedding.  And the cake!  The cake was one of the best fall wedding cakes I’ve ever seen!  I had to steal a slice and it was absolutely decadent! It was created by Kathy’s Cakes in Solon and it was a masterpiece both inside and out.

They were such a great couple and were willing to traipse through the brush of the meadow behind Patterson’s to get some lovely sunset pictures.  Their reception was filled with so many cute handmade decorations!  They definitely accomplished their goal and the room was cozy and welcoming.

Check out their awesome rustic wedding!

Beautiful Chagrin Falls Wedding

Kelly and Chris have been two clients of mine that are always in my thoughts.  Not only did I go down to Columbus for their engagement session, we became fast friends throughout the months leading up to their big day.

Their caring, interested and loving personalities didn’t stop with the warmth they showed me.  It was apparent that they cared about each and every person taking time out of their busy schedules to celebrate their wedding day with them.  Their wedding and reception was at the Tanglewood Club.  Kelly and Chris planned to do a first look so they had ample time to do their pictures with the bridal party before the ceremony.  (By the way, theirs is my favorite first look of all time right now!) Because we were able to get the pictures done in more then enough time, the guests didn’t have to wait long after the ceremony for the reception to start.

The decor in the reception hall was straight out of a magazine.  Each table had a cake as their centerpiece for guests to enjoy right after dinner.  The personal touches on the sweetheart table, cake and even the forks were perfect.  The Marino Brother’s kept the dance floor packed all evening, making this one of the most fun receptions I’ve been to in a while!

IX Show Ready!!

Today was a busy day!  I was at the IX Center getting my booth ready for the Today’s Bride IX Show this weekend.  Today was set-up day and, thanks to some friends, my booth went up without a hitch.

My super amazing handyman husband built the booth for me while I was the helpful assistant holding things, getting things, getting the wrong things, painting, staining and telling him how wonderful he is to me.

In the beginning stages of planning all I said was, “I want a barn theme that plays up my business name Orchard Photography.”  Within 10 minutes, he had this concept sketched out. It has been so exciting to see the booth develop from concept to complete.

Stop by and see me at the show!  I’m excited to share my work and packages with you!

A Solon Wedding with Surprise Wedding Crashers

Elegance.  Personal. Perfection.

Those are the three words I would use to describe Grace and Ryan’s wedding.  Both of them are the two most selfless people I have met.  Every aspect of their wedding day was centered around everyone else and it showed throughout the day.

Grace, Ryan and close family and friends made all of the reception centerpieces, seating cards, cookies, reception favors….the list is endless.  The Signature of Solon truly shone with all of the personal touches decorating the room.

Grace and Ryan made sure their Pup was included in the pictures, dressed as dapper an any beagle should be on such an important day.  Grace even went out of her way to surprise Ryan with a special guest appearance by some pretty awesome Cleveland mascots – Chomp, Slider and Sir CC!!  Sir CC was fresh off the Cav’s championship win and was proudly showing of his new National Championship ring.

The day was a blast!  Congratulations Grace and Ryan!  You both deserve a lifetime of happiness together!
